Transylvania 1626-NB groschen

This specimen was lot 2098 in Sincona sale 90 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 25 CHF (about US$33 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"UNGARN Siebenbürgen, Gabriel Bethlen, 1613-1629. Breiter Groschen 1626 NB, Nagybanya. Sehr schön. (Hungary, principality of Transylvania, Gabriel Bethlen, 1613-29, "bright" groschen of 1626, Nagybánya mint. Very fine.)"
Gabriel Bethlen, the prince, was a Calvinist who allied himself with the Ottomans against the Catholic Hapsburgs. This groschen was struck 1626-29 and was one thirtieth of a thaler.
