This specimen was lot 1346 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$619 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKREICH Louis XV. 1715-1774. Ecu au bandeau 1768, Poitiers. Gadoury - (Mzz. dieses Jahrgang nicht verzeichnet) Selten. Sehr schön. (France, Louis XV, 1715-74, écu 'of the ribbon' of 1768, Poitiers mint, Rare, unlisted date, very fine.)"
This specimen of the écu au bandeau is from the Poitiers mint, which closed in 1772. Its products (including this one) are generally rare. The auction cataloguers[1] state that Gadoury does not list this date but it is shown in the 2012 edition and given an "R5" rating.
Recorded mintage: unknown but rare[2].
Specification: silver, 11 deniers (.917 fine), 8.3 pieces to the mark (29.488 g), face value 6 livres, 39 mm diameter. Engraved by Joseph-Charles Röettiers. This specimen is 28.98 g.
