This specimen was lot 40837 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Yuan, 1986. NGC PROOF-64 Ultra Cameo. International Year of Peace." This denomination was used for numerous NCLT's in 1986, including KM 131 (1/20 oz gold panda), KM 139 and KM 140 (soccer), KM 141 (Sima Qian), KM 142 (Zhang Heng), KM 143 (Cai Lun), KM 144 (Zu Chong Zhi), KM 148 (shown here), KM 150 (silver panda) and KM 152 (sailing ship Empress of China).
