This specimen was lot 1432 in Sincona sale 76 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 9,000 CHF (about US$10,924 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Leopold I. 1657-1705. 1/2 Taler 1695, Prag. Mit der Signatur GE (Gregor Egerer, Münzmeister in Prag, 1694-1710). Sehr selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. FDC. NGC MS65. Prachtexemplar mit feinem Prägeglanz. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, half thaler of 1695, Prague mint, with mintmaster's initials "GE". Very rare, especially in this condition, Uncirculated, Cabinet piece with nice mint luster.)"
This one year type is scarce; it lacks a photogragh in the SCWC. The production of the Prague mint dwindled greatly after the devastation of the Thirty Years War.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver, this specimen 14.25 g.
