Silesia 1695-MMW thaler Dav-3300
This specimen was lot 1511 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabruck, June 2015), where it sold for €500 (about US$646 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Leopold I. 1657-1705. Reichstaler 1695, MMW, Breslau. Münzmeister Martin Maximilian von Wackerl. RR Kl. Henkelspur, leichte Glättungsspuren, sonst attraktives, sehr schönes Exemplar. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, thaler of 1695, Breslau mint, mintmaster Martin Maximilian von Wackerl. Rare, small mount mark, tooled, still attractive, very fine.)"
This type was struck in numerous varieties 1666-1700, with this scarce subtype issued 1695-96.
