This specimen was lot 29324 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Leopold I Taler 1695-CB VF35 NGC, Brieg mint. By Mintmaster Christoph Brettschneider. Featuring the half-length, armored bust of Leopold I, this broad specimen displays handsome cabinet patination and intricately-styled design elements that are evenly-worn but still very eye-appealing." This scarce type was struck 1695-97. The province was conquered by Frederick the Great and annexed to Prussia in 1740.
