This specimen was lot 2654 in Goldberg sale 87 (Los Angeles, September 2015), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Holland. Ducat, 1743. Standing knight. Reverse: Tablet with legend. NGC graded MS-62." The type is recorded from Holland 1702-92; each province of the Netherlands issued its own coins. Holland was the largest and wealthiest part of the United Provinces, now the kingdom of the Netherlands.
