SB0123-42347r.jpg

This specimen was lot 42347 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. Silver 10 Pence Bank Token, 1805. George III. PCGS AU-58. Struck in Silver." This type was struck 1805-06. It says "BANK TOKEN" but it doesn't specify which bank. We don't know the exchange rate between ten pence Irish and its English equivalent.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: S-6617; KM-Tn3.
