The first specimen was lot 4423 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $323.12. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ireland. Farthing, 1806. George III. Laureate head right. Reverse: Crowned harp. Pop 3; none finer at NGC. NGC graded MS-66 Brown." British issues for Ireland in the nineteenth century were erratic and sparse. The only one that can be called common are the half pennies and pennies of 1805 and the farthings of 1806. These were later restruck in silver, gold, gilt copper and bronzed copper. These were produced by Boulton and Watt under contract.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: copper.
