Jean Elsen sale 149, lot 1974

This specimen was lot 1974 in Jean Elsen sale 149 (Brussels, December 2021), where it sold for €320 (about US$433 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEDERLAND, Koninkrijk, Beatrix (1980-2014), AV 20 euro, 2005. Jubileum. 8,50 g In doosje. Gepolijste Stempel. (kingdom of the Netherlands, Beatrix, 1980-2014, gold twenty euro of 2005, queen's silver jubilee. In capsule, Proof.)"

The queen's silver jubilee was marked by this gold twenty euro and an accompanying fifty euro.

Recorded mintage: 3,500 proofs.

Specification: 8.50 g, 0.900 fine gold, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
