This specimen was lot 1975 in Jean Elsen sale 149 (Brussels, December 2021), where it sold for €250 (about US$339 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, Koninkrijk, Beatrix (1980-2014), AV 10 euro, 2005. 60 jaar Vrede en Vrijheid. In doosje. Gepolijste Stempel. (kingdom of the Netherlands, Beatrix, 1980-2014, gold ten euro of 2005, 60th anniversary of liberation. In capsule, Proof.)"
This denomination is used exclusively for commemoratives and is not legal tender outside the Netherlands. The 60th anniversary of liberation from Nazi occupation and the establishment of European peace was well worth a celebratory coin.
