Shown is a Spanish two reales struck in 1721 at the Madrid mint. This type was struck at Madrid 1716-25, 1730, 1735-40. Simillar two reales were struck at Segovia (KM 297), Cuenca (KM 308) and Seville (KM 307). The Spanish two reales was reduced from .903 fine to .833 fine in 1754 but the Latin American two reales was not similarly debased.
