This specimen was lot 1092 in Sincona Auction 100 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 32,000 CHF (about US$48,231 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Leopold I. 1657-1705. 6 Dukaten 1694, Graz. Abschlag von den Stempeln des Halbtalers. Münzmeister Johann Jakob Aigmann. LEOPOLDVS.D:G:ROM:IMP:S:A:GER:HVNG:BOH:REx. Belorbeertes und geharnischtes Brustbild nach rechts. Rv. ARCHI.DVX.AVS:DVx - .BVRGU:STYRI(AE).(TE)C Gekröntes Wappen in einer Kartusche mit Goldenem Vlies, oben die geteilte Jahreszahl. Von grösster Seltenheit. Einziges bekanntes Exemplar im Handel. Vorzüglich. Mit eingeritzter Wertzahl 5 1/2. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, six ducats of 1694, Graz mint, struck using half thaler dies. Obverse: laureate and armored bust right; reverse: crowned arms in a cartouche with order chain around, date above. Of the highest rarity. The only known specimen in private hands, Extremely Fine, With engraved value 5 1/2.)"
This type was struck 1662-94. It is not mentioned in the SCWC. The accompanying half thaler (KM 1258) is noted for 1669-IGW, 1674-IAN, 1676-IAN, 1678-IAN, 1684-IAN, 1694 and 1696.
