This specimen was lot 2900 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 22,000 CHF (about US$26,704 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Leopold I. 1657-1705. 6 Dukaten 1688, Graz. Jahreszahl im Stempel aus 1684 geändert. Mit der Signatur IAN (Johann Anton Nowak, Münzmeister in Graz). Goldabschlag von den Stempeln des Halbtalers. Äusserst selten.Extremely rare. Vorzüglich. Graffito im Feld der Vorderseite. Leicht gewellt. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, six ducats of 1688, Graz mint, 1688/4 overdate. Extremely fine, Graffito in the field on obverse, Slightly wavy flan.)"
This type was struck 1662-94. It is not mentioned in the SCWC. The accompanying half thaler (KM 1258) is noted for 1669-IGW, 1674-IAN, 1676-IAN, 1678-IAN, 1684-IAN, 1694 and 1696.
