This specimen was lot 74587 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 5 Pounds, AH 1415/1994. Cairo Mint. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Egyptian Gazelle." This NCLT was struck 1993-94. This NCLT is among dozens issued by the regime in 1993-94 to honor ancient Egyptian culture. Many of the designs were also used on gold fifty pounds. The animal shown is either the rhim gazelle (Gazella leptoceros) or more likely the dorcas gazelle (Gazella dorcas). The first is found only in the remote desert while the second was formerly common along the Nile.

Specifications: 22.5 g, 0.999 fine silver, 38 mm diameter, reeded edge.
