This specimen was lot 983 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 3,400 CHF (about US$4,209 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

Saxony, one of the larger divisions of Germany and blessed with numerous silver mines, issued large numbers of thalers. This coin was issued by the elector of Saxony in 1678-80 but is scarce.
