Sincona sale 91, lot 3707

This specimen was lot 3707 in Sincona sale 91 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$529 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1773, Zürich. Gezackter Rand. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1773, Zürich mint, ragged edge. About extremely fine.)"

A "Gessner" thaler also exists (Dav-1792) for 1773 but is very rare.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 26.53 g.
