The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Russia|RUSSIA]] | Russian Empire and Federation | Elizabeth, 1741-1761, Poltina 1754, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB IM. 5 roubles according to Petrov. 4 roubles according to Ilyin. Very fine. Cleaned." This type was struck 1751-61. It is not rare but expensive in nice condition. Assayers Ivan Markov or Yakov Ivanov both issued poltinas in 1754.
