This specimen was lot 50430 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Baden. Gulden, 1850. PCGS MS-64. Lightly toned. Prooflike." Despite the miniscule mintage, the SCWC lists this date as common. The type is noted for 1845-52. After unification in 1871, this denomination was replaced by the two mark.
