This specimen was lot 72349 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Rupee, 1904-(B). Bombay Mint. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. Highly lustrous and argent, with brilliant surfaces and a light frosting to the devices." The rupees of Edward VII were struck 1903-10 and most dates are common. Proofs are rare. The Calcutta mint contributed an additional 58,339,000 in 1904.
