The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Cambodia|CAMBODIA]]: Norodom Sihamoni, 2004-, AV 3000 riels, 2006, Wonders of the World-Colosseum of Italy, PCGS graded Proof 69 DCAM, R3 (Daniel), ex Howard A. Daniel III Collection." Norodom Sihamoni (b. 1953) ascended the throne upon the abdication of his father, Norodom Sihanouk, in October 2004. Actual power was held by strongman Hun Sen, prime minister 1985-93 and 1998-2023. As of May 2025, US$1 = 4,006 riels. Starting in 2004, the weight of the silver NCLT's was raised from 20 g to 31.1 g (1 troy oz).
