Daniel III Collection." Norodom Sihamoni (b. 1953) ascended the throne upon the abdication of his father, Norodom Sihanouk, in October 2004. Actual power was held by strongman Hun Sen, prime minister 1985-93 and 1998-2023. As of May 2025, US$1 = 4,006 riels.
