This specimen was lot 3619 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "CAMBODIA: Norodom Sihamoni, 2004-, AV 5000 riels, 2007, D-CS88, Confucius, PCGS graded Proof 68 DCAM, R3 (Daniel), ex Howard A. Daniel III Collection." Norodom Sihamoni (b. 1953) ascended the throne upon the abdication of his father, Norodom Sihanouk, in October 2004. Actual power was held by strongman Hun Sen, prime minister 1985-93 and 1998-2023. As of May 2025, US$1 = 4,006 riels.
