Stephen Album sale 43, lot 883

This specimen was lot 883 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "HYDERABAD: Nasir al-Dawla, 1829-1857, AV mohur, Farkhanda Bunyad, AH1267, lovely strike, EF, RR." The Indian princely state of Hyderabad was one of the few large enough and wealthy enough to mint an extensive series of gold coins. This type was struck AH 1258-1273.
