Stack's Bowers 2015 NYINC sale, lot 3605

This specimen was lot 3605 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $364.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Baden. 5 Mark, 1902. NGC MS-65. Golden Jubilee, 50th anniversary of the reign. Metallic toning with underlying luster. Very sharp details. An exceptional example of this popular type. From the Rockaway Collection." This commemorative is actually more available than the regular issue (Dav-535).

Recorded mintage: 50,024 including proofs.

Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
