Sincona Auction 103, lot 1592

This specimen was lot 1592 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 3,250 CHF (about US$4,953 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Dukat 1714/2, Zürich. Jahreszahl im Stempel aus 1712 geändert. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Fast FDC. Kleines Zainende. (Switzerland, city of Zürich, ducat of 1714, Zürich mint, 1714/2 overdate. Very rare date, About Mint State, Minor edge clip.)"

This type was struck without change 1707-17 yet remains scarce.
