This specimen was lot 1135 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$216 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1313-1324 AH (1896-1907). 50 Dinars 1319 AH (1901/1902 AD), Tehran Mint. Copper-Nickel. NGC MS65. Cabinet piece. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 149."
The SCWC lists this type for AH 1318, 1319, 1321, 1326, 1332 and 1337, the latter three dates being posthumous. This was the smallest denomination struck during the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Shah.
Recorded mintage: 12,000,000.
