This specimen was lot 74869 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Scotland. Angusshire. Dundee. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1796. NGC MS-65 Brown. Edge: Engrailed. A charming maritime issue, this Gem presents rich brown surfaces upon each side."
