Spence's Copper Farthing Token, 1796. PCGS MS-64 Brown. Edge: Plain. Obverse: man hanging from gibbet, items of torture below; Reverse: Two rings of text. A VERY SCARCE type from the popular "End of Pain" series of Conder tokens, the legend on this example reading "END OF P (eye) T", perhaps a play on the name "Pitt" (William Pitt the Younger, the Prime Minister of Great Britain). Wonderfully preserved, with glossy luster throughout and even a touch of unoxidized copper surviving in the protected areas of the design. From the Richard August Collection."

Recorded mintage: unknown.
