About very fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1837-48 at [[Austria 1847-A ducat Fr-481|Vienna]] ("A"), Kremnitz (shown here), [[Austria 1839-E ducat Fr-226|Karlsburg]] ("E") and [[Austria 1847-V ducat Fr-1504|Venice]] ("V"). The Venice mint issues are rare, the others are all common. Emperor Ferdinand was severely epileptic and considered unfit to rule. He was readily persuaded to abdicate during the revolution of 1848.

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Ferdinand I. 1835-1848. Dukat 1846 B, Kremnitz. Fast sehr schön. (empire of Austria, Ferdinand I, 1835-48, ducat of 1846, Kremnitz mint. About very fine.)"

This type was struck 1837-48 specifically for Hungary.
