Sincona sale 38, lot 3324

This specimen was lot 3324 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Sachsen, Kurfürstentum, Friedrich August I. 1694-1733 2/3 Taler 1701 (aus 1700). Dresden. Vorzüglich-FDC. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick August I, 1694-1733, two-thirds thaler of 1701/0, Dresden mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated. Better than average.)"

This type of 1701-05 is fairly common altho the overdate is not listed in the SCWC. Frederick Augustus was also king of Poland.
