This specimen was lot 899 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$2,124 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"THE NETHERLANDS | Utrecht, Provinz. Dukaton 1786, Utrecht. Zilveren Rijder. Vorzüglich. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, ducaton of 1786, Utrecht mint, silver rider. Extremely fine.)"
The type was struck with a cabled edge 1739-94 or a flowered edge 1746-49, 1756-79. This example is likely to have a cabled edge.
Recorded mintage: 270,000 for 1786-87.
Specification: 32.78 g, 0.941 fine silver, this specimen 32.04 g.
