This specimen was lot 3508 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$450 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Sachsen, Königreich, Albert, 1873-1902 2 Mark 1898 E. Muldenhütten. Seltener Jahrgang. Fast FDC. (Germany, kingdom of Saxony, Albert, 1873-1902, two mark of 1898, Muldenhutten mint. Rare date. About uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1891-1902 for king Albert. It is common in worn condition but is scarce choice. This date is awarded a slight premium in the SCWC.
