This specimen was lot 3110 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 10,000 CHF (about US$12,111 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Bern | Stadt und Kanton, Doppelduplone 1798, Bern. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, double duplone of 1798, Bern mint. Very rare date, Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1794-98 in the final years of the old regime. All dates are expensive.
