This specimen was lot 2599 in UBS sale 83 (Zürich, September 2009) where it did not sell. The catalog description noted,
"Taler 1798. Schlanker Krieger. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. FDC," (Bern 1798 thaler, thin warrior, uncirculated).
The climbing bear is the badge of Bern, Switzerland. Two types of thaler were struck in 1798; the thin warrior shown here and a stout warrior (KM 164), which is slightly more common. In Bern, 4 kreuzer = one batzen and 40 batzen = one thaler.
