This specimen was lot 3789 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$358 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SPAIN, Mallorca, Alfonso II. 1458-1479 1/2 Florin o. J. Mallorca Münzzeichen: Zwei Hunde (Dos perros). Sehr schön. (Spain, kingdom of Mallorca, Alphonse II, 1458-79, undated half florin, Mallorca mint, mintmark: two dogs. Very fine.)"

The gold florin (Cayón 2123) and half florin (shown here) were struck for Alfonso II, with the half florin being much scarcer than the florin. In addition to the two dogs mintmark shown here, there are also two stars, two lilies or two mountains. Alfonso also struck silver reales, half reales, billon doblers and diners at Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands.
