This specimen was lot 70804 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Farthing, 1867. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-65 Red Brown Gold Shield. A nicely struck and lustrous gem quality Farthing with abundant mint red in the protected areas." The bronze farthing was struck in moderate numbers 1860-73 with a toothed border and 1874-95 with minor changes to Britannia.

Recorded mintage: 5,018,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 2.86 g, bronze, 20 mm diameter.
