This specimen was lot 2345 in Goldberg sale 110 (Los Angeles, June 2019), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Halfpenny, 1867. Victoria. Obverse: Wyon's young 'bun head' portrait of queen. Reverse: Britannia. Uncirculated with mint red. Rare in this grade. NGC graded MS-64 Red & Brown." This type was struck 1860-94. It superseded the larger copper half penny heretofore issued.
Recorded mintage: 2,509,000 plus proofs.
