This specimen was lot 46033 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $100. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Great Britain, Scotland|SCOTLAND]]. Bodle (Turner or 2 Pence), 1692. Edinburgh Mint. William II & Mary II. NGC F-15 Brown. Smooth and glossy with good surfaces. Chocolate brown patina reveals blue and golden iridescence on the high points. Superior for the type. From the Loch Ness Collection." After the Restoration, tuppence and sixpence were struck in Scotland in copper. The Scottish sixpence was equal to an Engish half penny while the copper tuppence or turner did not have an exact equivalent. THis type was struck 1691-94 and is very scarce in nice condition. The denomination was last struck in 1697.
