This specimen was lot 523 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €280 (about US$377 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM August der Jüngere, 1635-1666. 1/2 Reichstaler 1661, Zellerfeld. Halber Hausknechtstaler. RR Winz. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön. Der Begriff "Hausknechtstaler" ist eine Spottbezeichnung für die Prägungen, auf denen der wilde Mann die Tanne quer vor sich hält, wie einen Besen, mit dem er fegen möchte.
