Kunker sale 293, lot 528

This specimen was lot 528 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €480 (about US$647 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM August der Jüngere, 1635-1666. 1/2 Reichstaler 1665, Zellerfeld. Sehr schön +. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Augustus the Younger, 1635-66, half thaler of 1665, Zellerfeld mint, very fine or better.)"

This type was struck 1656 and 1663-65.
