Künker sale 354, lot 6036

This specimen was lot 6036 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €600 (about US$835 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN, KIRCHENSTAAT/VATIKAN, Clemens XI. 1700-1721. Testone AN I/1700, Rom. Hübsche Patina, vorzüglich. (Italy, Papal States, Clement XI, 1700-21, testone of the year 1, Rome mint. Handsome patina, extremely fine.)"

This is the commonest of the five testone listed for 1700: KM 644 (Innocent XII), 645 (sede vacante), 646 (sede vacante), 647, 648 (Clement XI, Holy Year, different shield).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 9.16 g, 0.917 fine silver, this specimen 9.13 g.
