Sincona sale 43, lot 3792

This specimen was lot 3792 in Sincona sale 43 (Zurich, October 2017), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$776 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TANZANIA, Republik, seit 1964 1000 Shilingi 1984. Jahrzehnt für die Frauen 1976-1985. Selten. Nur 500 Exemplare geprägt. Polierte Platte. FDC. (republic of Tanzania, since 1964, one thousand shilingi of 1984, International Women's Decade, 1976-85. Rare. Only 500 pieces struck. Choice Proof.)"

This NCLT was accompanied by a silver 100 shilingi (KM 16). Several other countries issued NCLT's for this occasion.
