This specimen was lot 2369 in Goldberg sale 122 (Los Angeles, June 2021), where it sold for $480. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Tanzania. 250 Shillingi, ND (1985). Silver. Bust of President J.K. Nyerere left. Reverse: Arms. For the 25th Anniversary of Independence. Proof only issue. Rare. PCGS graded Proof 68 Deep Cameo." Julius Kambarage Nyerere (1922-99) was the Big Man of Tanzania, ruling it 1961-85.

Recorded mintage: unknown but all proofs.

Specification: 28.16 g, 0.925 fine silver.
