Heritage sale 3064, lot 33696
Russia H3064-33696r.jpg

This specimen was lot 33696 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nicholas II 25 Kopecks 1895 MS63 NGC. Lightly toned and perhaps somewhat conservatively graded given the lack of any noticeable distractions." The 1895 is a fairly common date of a type struck 1895-1901 and meant to match the French franc.

Recorded mintage: 2,660,000.

Specification: 5 g, 0.900 fine silver, .1446 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM-Y57.
