The specimen shown is one of a type struck in Santiago, Chile, 1867-91. This date is somewhat scarce but other dates are plentiful, making this handsome coin easy to add to ones collection of classic South American crowns.

Recorded mintage: 566,000.

Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, .723 troy oz ASW, reeded edge, 37 mm diameter.
