This silver decimo or ten centavo piece was minted in Santiago, Chile, in 1867-1880, in 0.835 fine silver. The series immediately prior (1864-1866) was at 0.900 fine silver, while the following series (1879-1894) was struck on planchets of even lower fineness (0.500 fine silver). All three series show the same obverse and reverse design.

Recorded mintage: 192,000.

Specification: 2.5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 0.0671 troy oz ASW.
