This specimen was lot 2743 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $53.55. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: Edward VII, 1901-1910, AE ¼ anna, 1908(c), NGC graded MS64 RB." This quarter anna was struck at the Calcutta mint 1906-10. The weight was reduced from 6.48 g in 1906 and thence to 4.72 g in 1909. A quarter anna was one sixty fourth of a rupee.

Recorded mintage: 58,066,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 4.83 g, bronze, 25.3 mm diameter.
