This specimen was lot 42058 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "HUNGARY. Taler, 1741-KB. Kremnica Mint. Maria Theresia. NGC AU-53. Variety with MA and HUN: BO in obverse legend. From the Augustana Collection." This type was struck in several varieties for the young queen 1741-43. Hungary stood by Maria Theresia during the War of the Austrian Succession, where Frederick the Great of Prussia invaded and annexed Silesia.
Recorded mintage: 620,000 (including Dav-1125A).
