Sincona sale 35, lot 5507

This specimen was lot 5507 in Sincona sale 35 (Zürich, October 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Zurich | Stadt, Halbtaler 1761. Fast vorzüglich. Hübsche Patina. (city of Zürich, half thaler of 1761. About extremely fine, Attractive patina.)"

The canton of Zurich struck two types of half thalers or gulden simultaneously, this one with the shield reverse and another with a city view reverse (KM 146).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver; this specimen is 13.79 g.
