Sincona sale 102, lot 5680

This specimen was lot 5680 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton Schilling 1748, Zürich. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, schilling of 1748, Zürich mint. Rare in this condition, About Mint State.)"

This type was struck 1725, 1730, 1736, 1739-51, 1754. All the dates are priced the same in the SCWC. At this time, one thaler was eighty schillinge.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.5 g, billon, 20 mm diameter, this specimen 1.00 g.
